My cousin and I have been going back and forth for weeks about this trip and we just can't agree on accommodations for the desert night. She keeps sending me photos of those fancy tents with real beds and private bathrooms, and honestly they look amazing, but I keep thinking about the budget and whether we'd even be in the tent that much since we'll probably be stargazing half the night anyway. We're looking at different marrakech to merzouga 3 days desert tours and some include what they call luxury camping while others are more basic with shared facilities. For anyone who's done this, is the upgrade worth it? I'm wondering if the standard tents are clean and comfortable enough, or if the heat and sand make you really appreciate having a proper ensuite situation. Also curious if the luxury camps feel more isolated from the group experience or if everyone still hangs out together around the fire.
